An Andretti Associate is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional Guest service. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas and in many capacities, listening to requests in a friendly manner, while following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality to ensure Guest satisfaction. ANTICIPATES AND RESPONDS TO GUESTS IN A FRIENDLY AND POSITIVE MANNER WITH A SENSE OF URGENCY. ASSISTS WITH GUEST RECOVERY AND NOTIFIES MANAGER TO ENSURE POSITIVE EXPERIENCES. COMMUNICATES CLEARLY AND PROFESSIONALLY WHILE INTERACTING ENTHUSIASTICALLY WITH GUESTS AND FELLOW CO-WORKERS. WORKS AS A TEAM PLAYER IN MEETING GUEST NEEDS, AND ACTIVELY CONTRIBUTES TO THE EFFORTS OF OTHER DEPARTMENTS. ATTENDS ALL REQUIRED DEPARTMENT AND COMPANY MEETINGS AND TRAINING SESSIONS. KNOWLEDGEABLE OF FACILITY EMERGENCY PROCEDURES. PERFORMS OPENING, RUNNING, AND CLOSING DEPARTMENT DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. 1+ year prior guest service experience required preferably in a hospitality, restaurant or entertainment setting. Excellent verbal communication skills needed. Attention to detail, Guest focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced and amplified (loud) environment. Work days, nights, holidays and/or weekends as required. Ability to use a point of sale system and other electronic equipment as needed. Experience with family entertainment centers is great, but not necessary. Position Summary An Andretti Host is part-time role responsible for anticipating guest needs, and exceeding guest service expectations all while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas, in many capacities, and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Welcome visitors by greeting them in a friendly and positive manner. Meet, greet and seat Guests to ensure positive Guest experiences. Make fair and consistent decisions on seating for Guests and parties. Provide information regarding all aspects of the restaurant and company including specials. Tend to guest special needs and request including making sure service staff and kitchen are aware of allergies. Assist with delivering food to Guests Support the Busser department in set up, breakdown and cleaning of tables. Observe, instruct and monitor Guests for safety and guideline adherence. Assist with Guest recovery and notify manager to ensure positive Guest experiences. Constant working knowledge of Andretti brand, product and policies and procedures. Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers. Perform Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned. Prior guest service or hospitalityexperience is preferred. Be aware and knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures. Skills & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. The desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workday. Be able to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, holidays and weekends. Physical Requirements Walk or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Perform functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and occasional stocking up to 50lbs. The ability to communicate quickly and accurately. The work environment may include bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
