Auto Body Technician - Relocation Package

Auto Body Technician (Gerber Collision & Glass) This position is eligible for a relocation package or sign on bonus. The Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each customer’s vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition. The technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, supporting the company’s promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. Key Job Responsibilities Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan. Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate with the team. Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections. Hammer out dents, dimples, and minor body damage when possible; mix and apply filler resins when necessary. Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage. Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts. Replace or repair glass and windshields. Replace or repair interior parts. Weld and attach parts as needed, then prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed equivalents. Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines. Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure all work has been executed correctly. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a technical school program or a three-year apprenticeship as an auto-body repairer. Required Skills and Abilities Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision. Ability to work collaboratively with other repairers. Proficiency in vehicle body repair methods and procedures. Proficiency in operating required tools. Other Requirements Work safely in a noisy area with many odors. Lift up to 30 pounds at times. Visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions. Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections. Compensation Details Flat rate $25-$36 per hour. Compensation is performance-based and tied to booked hours. In the event that total compensation in a pay period is less than minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated with a guarantee of applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater.
