About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead a large, distributed engineering organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the engineering strategy, architecture direction, and modernization roadmaps. This includes leading the modernization of complex enterprise platforms using modern technologies such as microservices, cloud, and APIs, and driving the practical adoption of generative AI across various engineering workflows. The role also involves partnering with product and business leadership to align technology roadmaps with strategic priorities and developing engineering leaders within the organization. Candidates for the VP of Engineering position at the company should have significant senior engineering leadership experience within a complex technology organization, with a strong background in software architecture and enterprise application development. Experience with Java, microservices-based architectures, and public-cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving engineering velocity and software delivery practices, as well as experience in managing large or highly distributed engineering teams. Strong executive communication skills, the ability to remain technically engaged, and a current knowledge of generative AI are also required.
