Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

$2105.28/week -

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions by monitoring vital signs, BG levels, and cardiac rhythms.
  
  
• 
  Apply and manage heart monitors, perform EKGs, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as BiPAP and Cpap machines.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, including titrate drips like heparin, bumex, and Lasix, within scope and agency protocols.
  
  
• 
  Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and positioning patients.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with charge nurses and ancillary staff to coordinate effective patient care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current RN license applicable to the state.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Ability to perform titration of IV drips with some restrictions.
  
  
• 
  Experience in monitoring telemetry and interpreting telemetry strips.
  
  
• 
  Flexible and adaptable to floating across different units as needed.
