Job Highlights Department: MRI Sign On Bonus: up to $10,000 paid in full on the first paycheck (qualified external candidates only) Schedule: Full time Pay Range: starts at $35.81/hour (daily pay available) Shift Differentials: available for night, weekend, and additional shifts Location: MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, 1201 Grand Requirements Completion of a Radiology program and ARRT‑R credential as well as ARMRIT or ARRT‑MR within 12 months of hire date. Job Summary Under the direction of the Radiologist, Director, and Manager performs diagnostic medical imaging by magnetic resonance including Cardiac MRI, Interoperative MRI, or invasive procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform magnetic resonance imaging examinations (40% of time) Provide MR safety screening for all patients, visitors, and staff prior to entering the MR room(s). Conduct job duties in accordance with departmental standards and policies. Communicate technical information appropriately to patients and families. Produce quality images consistently and serve as a resource to co‑workers. Assess vein/site selection and initiate venipuncture per established standards. Maintain proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) use. Observe departmental policies, quality assurance, and safety standards. Document all examinations and schedule in the Radiology Information System. Maintain clean and orderly work area and adhere to infection control practices. Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required certifications. Qualifications High school diploma or associate’s degree preferred; graduate of an accredited MR program. Minimum 1–3 years of MR experience in a level 1 trauma or academic facility preferred. BLS and ARRT certification required; additional MR certification preferred. Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in using HIS/Radiology information systems. Job Specifications Minimum Education: High school, Associate’s degree preferred or graduate of an accredited MR program. Minimum Experience: 1–3 years MR experience in a level 1 trauma facility preferred. Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT, and additional MR certification preferred or graduate of an accredited MR program. Work Conditions: Exposure to blood and body fluids, unpredictable situations, irregular hours. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, pull up to 100 pounds, transfer patients.
