Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $1,932 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,211.62 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Nurse Specialist — Concord, NC. This position involves providing advanced perioperative patient care within a busy surgical unit. The role requires a highly experienced OR nurse with a focus on trauma, orthopedics, spine, cardiac, and robotic surgeries to support diverse surgical cases in a Level 3 Trauma center of Excellence.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS certification; NC Registered Nurse license; minimum of 5 years of OR nursing experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with rotations including weekends (every 4th weekend), typically from 7 AM to 7 PM, with an average of 36 hours per week.
• Additional responsibilities: Support within the Department includes collaboration with clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, and other staff members. Technology/Equipment utilized includes electronic medical records (EPIC) and a wide range of OR-specific equipment.
• Required Qualifications: BLS certification; NC RN license; minimum of 5 years of OR nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification is preferred but not required, along with experience in laparoscopic, open belly, vascular, and robotic cases. Flexibility, self-motivation, and team-oriented attitude are essential.
• Additional Information: OR RN for night shifts must have charge RN experience and scrubbing proficiency. The candidate should be comfortable supporting various case types, including trauma, ortho trauma, spine, GYN, robotics, plastics, and more. No float rotation is required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should be prepared for a 2-day departmental orientation and should be flexible to accommodate various shift needs, including call shifts with a 45-minute response time, and potential holiday work.
