The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking an experienced, innovative and driven Traffic Management Specialist, NH-2130-02, at the 45th Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) at Patrick Space Force Base (SFB) located in Cocoa Beach, TX. In this position you provide timely Personal Property Management, contract quality assurance, Personal Property Inspector, Passenger Movement services and support to Patrick and Cape Canaveral Air Force installation’s groups, squadrons, tenant units, contractors and other authorized entities. Provide support to installation customers and the Eastern Range. Provide training, resources, and systems required for efficient and effective accountability and management of Air Force assets. This position can close at any time. Salary Range is $40,632 - $96,830 Annually based on experience. Employees must refrain from the use of illegal drugs and submit to urinalysis testing if requested. Travel & Work Hours: May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis, such as overtime, evenings, weekends, call back, and holidays. Additional Duties: May be required to participate in contingency situations, real world and exercises, as directed. May be required to assist in other work sections as directed by management. Performs additional or other assigned duties as required. Driving: The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for the position. Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of the full range of transportation policies, practices, and techniques to include personal property movement, personal property entitlements, carrier industry practices, international, state and local laws, and operations for shipping and storage within the transportation function. Knowledge of analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives. Knowledge of the occupation to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly. Skill in applying the principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform moderately difficult assignments. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, and work in a professional manner with peers and management.
