Job Description & Requirements TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We are looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Phoenix, AZ. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. Perform ongoing assessments and provide appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician. Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families. Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient. Educate patients on surgical procedures. Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician. Qualifications BLS certification, ACLS certification, 2 years of experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
