Shift Information\n The position involves 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915, with a scheduled commitment of 36 hours per week following the initial week of orientation. Please note, there is no guarantee of hours. Qualifications\n \n Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years \n Certifications: \n \n ACLS \n BLS/BCLS \n Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC \n \n Licensure: Must possess a Hawaii RN license by the start of the assignment if not already licensed in Hawaii \n Responsibilities\n The Flex Pool RN will float between various units, providing nursing care to a diverse patient population. The role includes: \n \n Delivering patient-centered care and support across medical and surgical units \n Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes \n Monitoring patient conditions and documenting care in the Meditech EMR system \n Utilizing equipment such as Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes \n Unit Information\n \n Unit Types: Medical Unit, Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute), Cardiovascular Unit (rare occasions) \n Bed Capacity: \n \n Medical Unit: 77 beds \n Laulima Unit: 18 beds \n Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds \n \n Nurse to Patient Ratios: \n \n Medical Unit: 1:6 days/evenings, 1:8 nights \n Laulima Unit: 1:6 \n Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4 \n \n Dress Code\n Professional nursing attire is required, including clean scrubs. Training and Orientation\n Comprehensive orientation will be provided for each unit to ensure a smooth transition and effective integration into the team.
