About the Position

Job Title: Clinical Educator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 8x5 Rotating Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: Critical Care certification preferred Must-Have: - Previous experience in nursing education and clinical teaching - Strong communication, coaching, and teaching skills - Ability to work independently while following established education plans - Experience with competency validation and staff onboarding Description: This position is focused on delivering clinical education content to staff. The role involves supporting education for core staff, travelers, and interdisciplinary team members. Responsible for conducting unit-based rounding to provide reinforcement and coaching. Validation of staff understanding and competency is required when necessary. Accurate and timely documentation of education completion is essential. Identifying barriers to education completion and escalating concerns will be part of the role. Support for education during night shifts, weekends, and sessions requiring additional attention is needed. There will be a need to assist with focused re-education based on audit findings. Collaboration with educators and leaders to enhance staff education will be key. Familiarity with education tracking tools and competency checklists is beneficial but training will be provided.
