About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS ACLS CCRN preferred Must-Have: 2 years ICU experience BLS ACLS Description: This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse. The unit consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio estimated at 1:2. Assignments will be made according to acuity and skills. Candidates should be familiar with all ICU equipment, including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitor. Experience with Meditech documentation system is preferred. There may be floating requirements as needed. Candidates need to have experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocols. The procedures performed in this unit include central line placements, bedside procedures like thoracentesis, dialysis, catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures. Experience with surgical populations, particularly oncology, is preferred. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs with a clean and healthy appearance for nails. Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors, and must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer. Tattoos and body art should be covered whenever possible, and visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Candidates must comply with attendance policies.
