Job Summary

The Staffing and HR Coordinator supports the daily administrative and operational functions of the home care agency to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of patient care services. This role serves as a key link between nursing staff, administrative personnel, clients and caregivers. The position focuses on scheduling, compliance, resource management, and maintaining a smooth operational workflow.

Key ResponsibilitiesI. Scheduling and Staff Coordination

Caregiver Scheduling:

Develop, manage, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for caregivers to ensure appropriate staffing levels that meet client needs and agency policies.

Caregiver Matching:

Match caregivers with clients based on client needs, caregiver qualifications, geographic location, and compatibility.

Call-Out Management:

Coordinate and secure coverage for last-minute caregiver call-outs and communicate scheduling changes promptly to both clients and staff.

Staff Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for field staff regarding scheduling concerns, client updates, and operational questions.

On-Call Coordination:

Coordinate caregiver and client visits evenings and every other weekend as part of the on-call schedule.

II. Administrative and Compliance Support

HR Administration:

Support HR functions including credentialing and licensing verification, background checks and screening, recruitment, interviews, onboarding, employee relations, and retention.

Client Intake Support:

Assist with administrative components of client intake, including initial file setup, verifying payer sources (such as insurance or Medicaid), and ensuring all required documentation is complete.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical records for clients and employees, including certifications, background checks, and service agreements, in compliance with state and federal regulations and agency policies.

System Management:

Utilize and maintain the agency's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and scheduling systems efficiently.
