Work shuttle leaves from Forest Grove and Tillamook each morning. Responsibilities Provide daily public contact, information, and assistance in person, telephone, and in writing. Meet and greet visitors, respond to issues, concerns, and detailed questions about facility, programs, wayfinding, and forest history and management. Interpret recreation rules and policies in the forest. Assist with gift shop operations including purchasing, merchandising, and resolving issues with vendors. Handle accounts payable, donation processing, and provide administrative support. Use independent judgment to communicate agency messaging, resolve issues, and explain rules to visitors. Qualifications Two years of experience in customer service, including at least one year involving explanation of rules, regulations, policies, and handling unique situations. Criminal history background check required. Valid driver’s license (state vehicle operation required); non‑Oregon license must provide court/DMV printout if older than three years. Desired Skills Effective communication with diverse viewpoints to resolve issues and explain rules. Experience interpreting and communicating complex rules and policies to customers. Merchandising and retail experience, including product ordering and pricing. Ability to handle multiple assignments and frequent interruptions.
