Production Process Coordinator

Overview Position Summary The Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing or business processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance production workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Key Responsibilities Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing or operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistency in production. Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions. Work with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, R&D) to troubleshoot process issues. Optimize workflow layouts, equipment utilization, and resource allocation. Implement Lean Manufacturing and automation technologies to improve productivity. Conduct root cause analysis for process failures and develop corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Work closely with the safety team to ensure compliance. Support new product introductions (NPI) by developing and refining production processes. Train operators and production staff on new or updated processes. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or related experience). Experience: 2-5+ years in process engineering, manufacturing, or industrial operations. Technical Skills: Proficiency in process modeling and simulation tools (AutoCAD). Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning. Strong understanding of Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Primarily works in a manufacturing or industrial facility. May require hands-on work on the production floor and occasional office tasks. Requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime based on production demands. Preferred Experience with automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies. Certificates: Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing, PMP. Industry Experience: Automotive, aerospace, electronics, contract manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing.
