Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with neonatal and pediatric patients, along with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory health and equipment use.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and practices, particularly in neonatal and pediatric care.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and potential floating to nearby locations.
• Valid mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse.
• Successful completion of a 10-panel drug screening.
