Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) PRN | All Shifts Available Available Shifts: Day Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM Evening Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM Night Shift: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM Job Summary Golden Merced Care Center in Merced, CA, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) responsible for providing nursing care and services to residents and performing other duties as assigned. The LVN works collaboratively with other staff and volunteers as appropriate. Duties include medication administration, nursing services, and other services necessary to support resident well-being. Trains other staff as assigned. Essential Functions Supervises nursing care provided to residents. Complies with applicable state and federal regulations. Works collaboratively with members of the healthcare team. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice. Provides backup support to the Director of Nursing when needed. Reviews assignments with the Director of Nursing and Administrator. Observes changes in resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately to the Director of Nursing and/or Resident Care Manager. Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire and life safety, disaster, security, workplace safety, and other emergency situations. Notifies the physician, RN, and/or designated agent(s) of changes in resident status as appropriate. Receives and executes written and verbal orders from the physician or designated agent as permitted by state regulations. Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements Must possess a current LVN license in good standing. Must have at least 1 year of healthcare experience. Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities.
