Professional sushi experience is strongly preferred. Compensation & Sign-On Bonus Our Sushi Chefs earn an average of $25 per hour (hourly base wage + tips). Now offering a $1,250 Sign-On Bonus! Bonus is payable after 90 days following successful completion of training. What You'll Do Prepare sushi with precision, consistency, and attention to detail in a high-volume kitchen. Work with premium ingredients while maintaining Uchibā's high culinary standards. Collaborate with an experienced culinary team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Maintain a clean, organized workstation while following all food safety and quality standards. Continue developing your skills through coaching, feedback, and hands‑on learning. Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards. Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, stock inventory, and perform restocking duties. Have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and reach to access various areas and items. Lift, push, or pull objects such as tables and chairs to reconfigure seating arrangements. Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, grills, and knives.
