Topics include socio-economic issues affecting health care in the United States, anatomy and physiology, pathologies of the various systems, job titles and changes in levels of responsibilities, basic medical terminology, and career planning. This course assists with preparation for a career in the medical field. Medical Assistant: The Medical Assistant Instructor provides basic instruction to prepare high school students for entry-level employment in the Health Care Services profession. Students are trained in medical assistant administrative and clinical skills, billing and bookkeeping, taking medical histories, recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, basic laboratory testing, preparing and administering.Requirements / QualificationsThank you for considering Rowland Unified School District, home of multiple award winning schools!
