Position Overview: The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nutritional care of patients across the hospital. The Dietitian collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized nutrition care plans, provide nutrition education, and promote optimal patient outcomes. This position plays a vital role in supporting patient recovery, disease management, and overall wellness through evidence-based nutritional practices. Specifics: Position: Registered Dietitian Department: Dietary Services Location: Gateway Regional Medical Center, 2100 Madison Ave., Granite City, IL 62040 Position Status: PRN Work Schedule: As Needed Education Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field from an accredited institution Certification Qualifications: Required: Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) Required: Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the State of Illinois or eligible for licensure upon hire Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification or obtained within 90 days of hire Experience Qualifications: Required: Knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and medical nutrition therapy Preferred: Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting Preferred: Experience providing nutrition counseling and patient education New graduates are welcome to apply Company Benefits: Competitive salary Flexible PRN scheduling Retirement savings plan with employer matching (based on eligibility requirements) Supportive and inclusive work environment Collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $32.38-48.58 per hour.
