Dental Associates of Florida is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team and travel with our Endodontist, supporting offices in Lakeland, Temple Terrace, Lutz, and Sun City, FL . In this role, you will assist our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction, all while thriving in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program

or

• One year or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• EFDA and X-Ray certification, required
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
