Associate Financial AdvisorThe objective of the Associate Financial Advisor role is to participate in and successfully complete the licensing process and gain industry experience in order to prepare for a career as a Financial Advisor (FA). The Associate Financial Advisor's goal is to learn and integrate key business-building knowledge and competencies which FAs must have to help attract and retain clients through helping them achieve their financial goals.What will you do?Study for and obtain the Associate Financial Advisor program's required licensing Study and pass series 7 exam.Study and pass series 66 and life and health insurance exams.Complete Associate Financial Advisor program assignments within the curriculum's timelines RBC tools and technology introductionRBC policies and proceduresProducts and services—including scenarios and case studiesCompliancePlanning, marketing, prospecting, and servicingReport activities and results per the Associate Financial Advisor program's requirements Implement specific coaching from the Associate Financial Advisor sales managerBecome familiar with RBC Wealth Management Maintain awareness of financial news via company-approved online sites, meetings and various news media to support and advance professional development toward becoming a RBC Financial AdvisorBe knowledgeable and comply with all regulations and rules of various regulatory agencies and company policiesComplete all RBC WM new employee orientation online modules and others as requiredWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceAbility to obtain Series 7 and Series 66 and life and health insurance exams within 180 days of beginning employment at RBCAbility to take initiative and function independentlyExcellent interpersonal and marketing skillsStrong drive and dedicationDemonstrated ability to develop and promote business; a track record of success Ability to make solid decisions in a fast paced, quick turnaround environmentNice-to-haveEntrepreneurial experienceActive in a community, athletic or business groupFundraising experienceWhat's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
