You’ll support special education students through evidence-based interventions, group and individual counseling, and crisis management. Your expertise will help create a safe and supportive environment, guiding students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Qualifications:

• Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
• Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
• Previous school-based experience required
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills across cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral domains
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain composed during crisis situations and handle sensitive matters professionally
• Proficiency in technology and digital documentation
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and professional practice in school psychology

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct mental health services, including counseling based on IEP goals
• Develop and implement individual and group interventions
• Complete assessments, write evaluation reports, and document service delivery
• Participate in IEP meetings, team reviews, and multidisciplinary support meetings
• Manage and respond to crisis situations, such as conducting suicide risk and threat assessments
• Consult and collaborate with families, teachers, school staff, and outside agencies
• Support staff and families with psychoeducation and professional development
