Job Description UW Medical Center–Northwest - Acute Care Resource Team has an excellent opportunity for a Night Shift Float Nurse. WORK SCHEDULE 3x12 shift schedule Straight nights (7:00pm-7:30am) Rotating weekend shifts required Department Description Our Resource Team provides short term and long term staffing coverage on our inpatient acute care units, which include our telemetry, medical-surgical, rehabilitation, and surgical services floors. This position will also have cross-training opportunities on our specialty units, including the Emergency Department, ICU, Childbirth Center, and our inpatient behavioral health floors. This is a great opportunity to provide bedside care in a role where no two shifts are alike. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Work on a variety of inpatient units Join a team where no two shifts are alike Cross-train on our specialty floors, including behavioral health Provide life-changing care for our hospital patients Primary Job Responsibilities Identify care needs across a broad spectrum of hospital departments Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor Work alongside doctors, social workers, care managers, and therapists Restore patients’ health by following evidence-based nursing practices Monitor and administer medications and IVs Requirements 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital nursing experience BLS Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State Exposure to behavioral health nursing or a willingness to learn the fundamentals of behavioral health nursing About Uw Medical Center-northwest UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
