Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotating weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services on a 44-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Perform stroke evaluation and treatment, including manual therapy for neuro re-education and neuromuscular re-education
• Deliver therapeutic exercise, functional activity training, self-care, and functional electrical stimulation
• Utilize specialized equipment including Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
• Document patient care using the Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
• May float to the acute hospital setting when inpatient rehab census is low

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Active Physical Therapist license valid in Virginia
• Experience in inpatient hospital and inpatient rehabilitation settings
• Proficiency with stroke evaluation and treatment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working within a Joint Commission Stroke Certified facility
• Familiarity with AIDET communication framework and service recovery practices
• Experience working within OT/PT collaborative team models
