Division Chief, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician - San Antonio, TX CHRISTUS Children’s, a 240‑bed freestanding children’s hospital in San Antonio, partners with Baylor College of Medicine to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers. Division Summary The Division of Emergency Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine seeks a board‑certified pediatric emergency medicine physician (Associate or Professor rank) to serve as Division Chief. The position will receive dedicated administrative time to develop and grow the division. The role is employed by Baylor College of Medicine and offers a competitive salary and benefits, including paid relocation. Job Duties Provide strong leadership to deliver outstanding medical care, research, and education. Develop long‑range plans for the division. Recommend division appointments and promotions to the PIC/Vice Chair. Stimulate and support research studies within the division. Maintain highest quality of medical care for patients. Demonstrate highest ethical and professional conduct. Manage budgets and maintain positive financial performance for the division. Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and teach fellows, residents, medical students, and staff. Minimum Qualifications MD, DO, or MD/PhD with board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine; Texas medical license (current or obtainable). Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Pediatricians with significant emergency department experience encouraged to apply.
