RN - PCU

Travel RN - PCU (7P - 7A) Position

Location: Englewood, CO

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: Join a fast-paced and challenging cardiac unit within a cardiac center for excellence. This high-acuity progressive/intermediate care unit features 30 beds with a dedicated staff of RNs and PCTs. You will be integral in delivering top-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide post-cath care including support for right & left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations, and pacemaker implantations.
• Perform pre & post care for open-heart surgical patients such as CABGs, MVRs, and AVR repairs.
• Manage chest tubes and conduct neurovascular checks.
• Administer medications and monitor drips including heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and others.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the care team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• Preferred experience in chest tube management, EKGs, and O2 management including BIPAP.
• Experience administering drips: dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine, and Lasix.
