Senior Mechanical EngineerBlackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesExpert in project planning, coordination, and executionIndependently complete conceptual design through construction drawing development for large complex project or multiple projects simultaneouslyCreate conceptual designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standardsResponsible for calculations, design and layout of equipment, duct and piping systems on assigned projectsAppropriate engagement of engineering applications and/or managers in project decisionsExtensive experience in applications engineering including psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systemsProactively communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partnersConduct economic and energy analysesField engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving/troubleshooting, as requiredResponsible for the quality of HVAC design drawings and modelsEffectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team membersManage time to meet project schedules and task deadlinesOversee other design team members to complete project assignments when requested by ManagerStrong understanding of client engineering standards and project execution processesOther duties as assigned by ManagerPosition Requirements:BS in Engineering or Construction ManagementProfessional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required8+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or HVAC consultantExcellent understanding of engineering and HVAC design fundamentalsThorough understanding of HVAC systems and applicationsExcellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standardsProficiency in AutoCAD and RevitSecurity Clearance Required: N/ABlackstone Talent Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackstone Technology Group, a global IT services and software firm that implements technological solutions across commercial industry verticals and the US Federal Government.
