Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

This senior leadership role will shape the architecture and delivery of scalable software systems while driving technical excellence. Responsibilities Programming well‑designed, testable, efficient code in scalable client‑side and server‑side architecture. Analyze, design, and develop tests and test‑automation suites. Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participate in code reviews. Integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Apply security and privacy principles. Execute full lifecycle software development. Facilitate technical discussions and oversee the team's development work. Foster a culture of learning, innovating, and continuous improvement. Promote engineering best practices to deliver software via rapid iterations and frequent releases. Actively participate in daily stand‑up meetings and other Agile ceremonies. Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure timely delivery across all systems at the program level. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred or equivalent working experience required. 5+ years of full‑stack technical experience. Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot/REST development, including microservices and event‑driven architecture implementation. Experience in test automation development using Cypress, Selenium or similar. Test‑Driven‑Development experience is preferred. Experience working in AI coding. Good to have RDBMS experience. Experience in Agile methodologies, either Sprint or Kanban. Solid grasp of Git, CI/CD, Agile principles. Strong technical and communication skills required. Knowledge and experience in financial services or fintech is preferred. Compensation BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package. Base salary offers may vary depending on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
