Operations Project Manager is responsible for the complete operational and financial execution of commercial construction projects from project kickoff through final completion.This position owns the strategy, planning, scheduling, execution, and financial performance of every assigned project.You'll develop labor strategies, allocate crews, build production schedules, monitor budgets, protect gross profit margins, and proactively solve operational challenges before they impact project performance.Success in this role requires balancing customer expectations, field operations, labor efficiency, scheduling, and financial performance simultaneously.Every operational decision should improve project execution while protecting profitability.This is not simply a scheduling position—it is a leadership role responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, on budget, and at or above targeted gross profit margins.Primary ResponsibilitiesFinancial LeadershipOwn the financial performance of assigned projects from award through closeoutDevelop labor strategies that maximize efficiency while protecting profitabilityMonitor budgets, labor costs, lodging, travel, equipment, subcontractor expenses, and production costsForecast project financial performance throughout executionIdentify financial risks early and implement corrective actionCollaborate on change order strategy and cost recovery opportunitiesDrive projects to meet or exceed targeted gross profit marginsProject Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain master project schedulesCoordinate project start dates with customers and field operationsForecast manpower requirements weeks in advanceBalance labor resources across multiple active projectsContinuously optimize schedules as project conditions changeCrew & Resource ManagementAssign crews based on skill set, certifications, availability, and project requirementsMaximize crew utilization while minimizing idle timeCoordinate travel logistics and project mobilizationsEnsure field teams have the resources necessary for successful executionProject ExecutionMonitor production across multiple active projectsRemove operational obstacles before they impact productionCoordinate with Project Coordinators, Field Operations Coordinators, customers, subcontractors, and leadershipEnsure projects remain aligned with schedules, budgets, quality labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocationExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skillsStrong proficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferredCommercial renovation or retail construction experienceMulti-site project management experienceExperience using Procore or similar construction management softwareExperience leading
