Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to serve as Director of Clinical Nutrition at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, a 268-bed teaching hospital and trauma center located in Manhattan, NY. As a vital part of the city's largest public healthcare system, Harlem Hospital Center delivers essential, high-quality care to a diverse patient population and is proudly affiliated with Columbia Medical School, supporting both clinical excellence and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 11 dietitians across inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as diet office staff;
• Drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects;
• Oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives, as necessary;
• Facilitate local community and wellness initiatives;
• Provide training and education to the food service staff, as well as interdisciplinary healthcare professionals;
• Be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees; and
• Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in operational management as needed.

• Registered Dietitian credentials with acute care experience and a great clinical knowledge base;
• Proven supervisory or management experience;

Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.
