Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Leader to join our vibrant café & poke team! In this dynamic role, you will lead daily operations during your shift, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient beverage and food preparation, and smooth team coordination. As a key team member, you will inspire your colleagues, uphold food safety standards, and create a welcoming environment for all guests. Your leadership will help drive sales, maintain cleanliness, and foster a positive atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. Duties

• Lead and supervise the team during your shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards
• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including boba tea, coffee, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Prepare and serve variety options of poke bowl.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by adhering to food safety standards, including food handling and sanitation procedures
• Assist customers with orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their experience
• Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing transactions accurately and balancing registers at the end of each shift
• Support food preparation activities as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality beverages and food while following food safety protocols

Requirements

• Previous food & beverage experience with knowledge of food service and drink preparation techniques
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members during shifts
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to handle retail math accurately for cash handling and sales reconciliation
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage and handle rush hours in a calm and organized manner while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and excellent customer service.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash registers effectively
• Maintains a flexible schedule and is available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and other shifts as needed to support business operations.
• Comfortable working in a warm environment, particularly during busy periods when equipment and customer traffic may increase the store temperature.
• Needs to be available evenings and weekends
