Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice

Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available

AMA Family Practice is a small, patient-focused family practice seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our wonderful healthcare team!

We pride ourselves on providing personalized, high-quality care in a welcoming environment. Our practice serves patients of all ages , allowing you to build meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals and families in our community.

Both experienced Nurse Practitioners and New Graduate NPs are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute, episodic, and chronic medical conditions
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans and patient management strategies
• Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
• Provide patient education and preventive healthcare
• Facilitate referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and specialists regarding patient care
• Review outside medical records and incorporate relevant information into patient charts
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license
• Current DEA registration
• Professional malpractice insurance
• Previous nursing or clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to establish positive relationships and rapport with patients
• Ability to work independently while being a collaborative member of the healthcare team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced family practice environment
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• EMR experience is helpful but not required
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!
