Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital Department :Imaging Position islocated: {Pittsfield, ME Work Type :PRN Hours Per Week: As Needed Work Schedule :Variable Salary Range : $ 26.99 - $41.42 Exempt: No Summary : The Radiographer performs radiologic and CT examinations in accordance with all state/federal safety regulations. The Radiographer is expected to perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply prescribed amount of radiation for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by the radiologist. Responsibilities : Performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, and CT scanning utilizing equipment in accordance with department protocols. Prepares and administers contrast per department protocols/radiologist guidance. Proficient in PACS functions and able to assist others as needed. Prepares and educates patients to procedures. Maintains equipment in good working condition, operating equipment in accordance with department and manufacturer recommendation, reporting any equipment issues to proper teams for resolution. Perform phone/clerical/office duties as necessary within the department. Ensures proper order is in place for patient imaging and obtains correct order when changes are required. Other Duties Other Information : ARRT certification required, willing to cross train in CT. State of Maine radiology license required. Certificate in Radiology acceptable for a candidate with ARRT credentials and State of Maine Radiology license.
