Fire Safety Event Staff - Chicagoland Speedway

Overview Chicagoland Speedway is a 1.5‑mile oval located in Joliet, Illinois, about 30 miles south of downtown Chicago on Old Historic Route 66. On July 3–5, 2026, NASCAR will host its return to the track for three days of racing action. Fire Rescue workers provide immediate response to any emergency situation encountered at Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway. Responsibilities Responding to emergency situations at events. Fire suppression. Accident / incident stabilization. Patient assessment and/or patient care. Track cleanup and ensuring the track is reopened as quickly and safely as possible. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience as a firefighter or in a related field. Minimum 18 years of age. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends and in all types of weather. Reliable transportation to and from the track location. Adherence to the organization’s Substance Abuse Policy. Compensation $16.00 – $18.00 per hour. Benefits No benefits.
