Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7A–7P) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult cardiac, cardiac observation, post-cardiac cath lab, and cardioversion patients
• Monitor patients via telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status
• Utilize the Paragon EHR system for documentation and care coordination
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, delivering safe and efficient care
• Float to other units as required per facility float policy
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating strong communication skills and flexibility

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (ADN minimum)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a step-down or ICU setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac patient populations including cardiac observation and post-procedural care
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring equipment
• Experience with the Paragon EHR system
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
