JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving on the Executive Team, the Director of Health Services is responsible for directing and overseeing the daily operations and oversight of the skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility and memory care program. The Director of Health Services will oversee budget and census management that helps achieve Village On The Isle’s overall goals. Responsibilities will also include the management of all programs in accordance with federal, state and local laws and agency regulations. The Director of Health Services is a primary spokesperson for marketing and public relations activities and shall ensure high levels of resident and employee satisfaction. The Director respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues and staff. This is a safety sensitive position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Licensed as a Florida Nursing Home Administrator under Chapter 468, Part II, F.S. required.
· Florida Assisted Living CORE Certification required.
· Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Business Administration or health-related field. Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of five years of management experience in senior living or health care required; CCRC background preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage through challenging situations and to handle confidential matters frequently.
· Warm, outgoing and compassionate personality with strong leadership and teamwork skills required.
· Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite, Patient Portals or Health Systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Provides overall daily leadership for the facilities and programs.
· Assures resident, staff and guest safety and makes decisions as necessary.
· Directs and oversees the daily operations of staff to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Demonstrates leadership qualities by embracing and acting in accordance with our organizational values, policies & procedures.
· Implements policies, procedures and training for the department and maintains required records and reports as necessary.
· Responsible for staffing, retention, development, training and performance management of division staff.
· Responsible for payroll oversight and related approvals.
· Monitors budget compliance and financial outcomes including, but not limited to, labor expense, operational expenses and accounts receivable resolution.
· Serves as a member of various management committees in the organization as assigned.
· Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is conducted primarily in health care facility. There is possible exposure to communicable diseases and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV. This position frequently requires working within strict deadlines, under stressful conditions and with a variety of personalities, who may at times be emotional.
