Step into a rewarding opportunity working with students in a supportive school environment providing speech-language therapy services. This full-time contract position is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about fostering communication skills in pediatric populations. The role is needed to cover a maternity leave from September through December and is situated within a collaborative educational setting near Fulton, MS.
You’ll engage with students, families, and educators to support student communication needs, helping each child reach their full potential. Detailed assignment information will be provided as planning progresses, but a strong foundation in both educational and healthcare SLP practices is key.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Speech-Language Pathologist license, or eligibility, in the state of Mississippi
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience in school-based settings, pediatrics, or healthcare environments
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to best practices in speech-language therapy for diverse populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students, including assessments and progress monitoring
- Develop and update IEP goals in line with student needs and state requirements
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
- Maintain clear, timely records and documentation
- Attend required meetings and contribute to team decision-making
