Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Urology Clinic position requiring Epic experience and prior urology outpatient background.

Details

• Outpatient urology clinic setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Supports one surgeon and one advanced practice provider
• High-paced clinic with a new patient and procedure scheduled every 30 minutes
• Performs procedures including cystoscopies, vasectomies, and biopsies
• Uses bladder scanner and performs vitals monitoring
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior urology outpatient clinic experience required within the last year
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in Foley catheter insertion and management
• Experience with specimen collection and labeling, including urine UA/clean catch
• Proficient in interpreting laboratory results including urine dipstick/urinalysis
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, pain assessment, and pulse oximetry
• Experience in renal/genitourinary care

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced urology outpatient setting
• Assist with minor urological procedures and diagnostic testing
• Requests for time off should be minimal, ideally none during the assignment and no more than 7 days total
• Time off requests must be submitted with the initial application and confirmed at offer; no additional requests will be approved afterward
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate
• Previous perm employees must have a 6-month gap before being eligible for travel assignments
• Candidates may not work both travel and per diem contracts with this health system simultaneously
