Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to shop drawings and American Welding Society specifications, guaranteeing the quality and integrity of materials. Join us in shaping a future where quality and safety go hand in hand.Quality Control Inspector Pay Range:$24-$32/hourPaid WEEKLYQuality Control Inspector Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Inspects all fabrication jobs to maintain the quality levels of work produced in accordance with applicable codes and standards and Prospect Steel QC procedures.Travels to subcontracts to inspect jobs for proper standards when required.Prepares daily inspection reports.Monitor records on all shop welders with their level of certification and monitor daily rod use.Assist in setting up, monitor and maintain welding procedures, bolting procedures and painting procedures required for projects.Provide feedback on questions related to qualifying and project requirements from shop employees.The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.Quality Control Inspector Qualifications:High School education or the equivalent is required.Minimum of two years' experience in construction industry and/or welding.Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) may be required. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting structural steel drawings.Must have excellent communication skills.Physical Demands:Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently, climb 25 ft, and ability to bend, stoop, push and pull frequently.Exposure to temperature fluctuations and loud work environment.Overtime and weekend work may be required.This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
