Lead Counter Sales Associate

Job Description Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Full-Time Duties and Responsibilities Interact with internal and outside salespeople, vendors and contractors, making outbound calls to customers to increase sales and provide additional services. Prepare and complete weekly cycle counts, process and return in‑warranty items to manufacturers, handle freight claims for missing or damaged equipment/supplies, manage intra‑store transfers, and promote sales of monthly specialty items. Promptly order and schedule the arrival of equipment and supplies for resale; track incoming merchandise and special orders; and assist warehouse personnel when needed. Maintain current knowledge of customer credit status and strictly enforce credit codes on sales to customers. Responsible for showroom merchandising and re‑stocking product. Assist in resolving customer relations problems with dealers and end users. Assist Territory Sales Managers with product information, availability, pricing and special factors when needed. Complete the sales order process for customers, pursuing opportunities to upsell associated items. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities In addition to the above duties, perform all other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum 1+ year experience in HVAC, customer service, warehousing/distribution or retail. Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level preferred. Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service. Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service. Ability to work independently while meeting assigned goals and objectives within designated time frames. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. A willingness to learn and grow with our Company. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house preferred. Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Work Schedule Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion. The Lead must be conversant with and have solid knowledge of the products sold at the Sales Center. The Lead will assist in supervising and training other Counter Sales Associates as well as assist management with daily operations.
