Technical Designer

TECHNICAL DESIGNER / SPEC TECH

We are looking for a talented, experienced, Spec Technician with good verbal and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Creating size specifications from children’s 12 months to size 16 sleepwear and swimwear & intimates for both boys and girls
• Grading
• Evaluating and commenting on fit samples
• Explaining and diagramming for factories how to make corrections to garment construction

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of pattern-making, sewing, and garment construction
• You should have strong product knowledge of children's sleepwear.
• Experience working on boy's and girls' sleepwear for the budget market.
• You should have a strong understanding of knit, and woven fabrications.
• Experience working with a variety of fabrics and fabric finishes.
• You must be; computer savvy, quick to learn, very organized, and detailed oriented,
• Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the budget sleepwear market.
• Knowledge of File Maker Pro is a plus.
