Position Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team for a 13-week contract starting September 28th. This position involves working in the NICU, with occasional floating to various associated facilities.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
• Variable Day/Night shifts required

Holiday Commitment

The candidate must be available to work 2 out of the following 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Additionally, full flexibility is required to accommodate weekend shifts.

Location

Assigned primarily to the NICU in Encinitas, CA, with potential to float to:

• Rady Main Campus
• Scripps La Jolla
• Rancho Springs
• Palomar
• Scripps Mercy

Requirements

• California RN license required, with an ETA accepted if it has yet to post
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in NICU Level 3 or higher
• Certifications: BLS, NRP required
• Epic experience preferred
• No first-time travelers accepted

Special Conditions

Floating to related units is required, and mid-shift floating may be requested. Maximum of 6 days of RTO is permitted, with a requirement to work 3 shifts per week.

• Arterial line management
• Central line blood draw

• Neonatal Dosage Calculations
• Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket)

Compliance and Submission Process

Candidates must confirm their full RTO requests and disclose any known compliance barriers at the time of submission. Local candidates (those living within 50 miles of the facility) are not eligible.
