Primary Care Physician – Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc., Corona, CA

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for Primary Care Physicians (PCP) to work at a correctional facility in Corona, CA. The PCP will provide services in specialized areas such as emergency medicine and surgery.

This role is for Independent Contractors (1099) and requires Workers Comp and Professional Liability coverage to be provided by the contractor.

Pay Rate: $155/hr

Job Description

• Provide high‑quality patient care.
• Manage medical services for patients and youth.
• Adhere to the facility’s medical staff by‑laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and comply with universal infection control precautions.
• Prepare written clinical review documents.
• Perform medical procedures as necessary.
• Prescribe medications and treatments.
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment goals to patients.
• Maintain confidential patient medical records.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years providing patient care in a similar setting, and possess required certificates. Clinical competencies must be current and validated for the area of assignment.
• At least one (1) year of experience within the last five (5) years providing obstetric and gynecological nursing or patient care services in addition to the above qualifications.
• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy (M.D./D.O.), board certified, with current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and DEA certification.
