Role Description The Garden Nursery Lead is a full-time, on-site role located in Germantown, WI. This role oversees daily operations in the garden nursery area, including supervising team members, organizing plant displays, and ensuring proper care, watering, and maintenance of all plant materials. The Garden Nursery Lead supports customers by answering plant and product questions, offering guidance on selection and care, and providing a friendly, knowledgeable shopping experience. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, assisting with receiving and merchandising plant shipments, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting seasonal setup and teardown activities. The role works closely with store leadership to meet sales goals, uphold company standards, and foster a positive, team-oriented workplace. Qualifications Knowledge of plants, gardening, and nursery operations; ability to provide practical advice on plant selection and care. Experience leading or coordinating a team in a retail, garden center, or similar environment, with strong mentoring and delegation skills. Customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a helpful, solutions-focused approach. Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks, maintain displays, and manage inventory efficiently. Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and arranging plants and products, and working in varying outdoor conditions. Basic point-of-sale and retail operations knowledge; comfort with using store systems and following cash-handling procedures. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or coursework in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields is a plus. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal hours as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
