Bridgeport Machinist

Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Bridgeport Machinist with an automation company.

Day Shift-Start Time, 6am. Working around 45-55 hours/week.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual Bridgeport vertical milling machines to machine precision components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
Machine steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials to specified dimensions and tolerances.
Square, drill, bore, slot, face, keyway, and finish machine parts using manual equipment.
Perform precision layout work using measuring and marking tools.
Verify finished parts using precision inspection equipment.
Modify and repair existing tooling, fixtures, and machine components.
Select proper cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and machining requirements.
Perform tapping, reaming, boring, and drilling operations.
Deburr and finish machined parts prior to assembly.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must have own tools and rolling toolbox.
