Early Childhood Program Lead Teacher

The Early Childhood program at the Upper Valley Waldorf School , located in Quechee, Vermont is seeking application materials for a Waldorf-trained and experienced Lead Teacher for our Early Childhood program for the 2026-2027 school year.
We have a well-established program, and a beautiful faculty-designed four-classroom early childhood building that houses classes with individual classroom outdoor spaces, as well as a full outside playground and 10 acres of forest and field. We are proud to be a Prequalified Provider under Act 166 (Universal Prekindergarten) and are recognized as a 4-STAR program by the Department of Children and Families in Vermont. Vermont STARS recognizes and rewards programs that go above and beyond Vermont’s basic regulatory requirements in providing services to Vermont’s children and families.
The Upper Valley Waldorf School is a Preschool through Eighth Grade school with a projected enrollment of 134 students for the 2026-2027 school year. We offer a rich Waldorf curriculum, which includes French, woodwork, handwork, movement, instrumental music and chorus. With a dedicated, experienced faculty, our school holds a dual accreditation with AWSNA/NEASC. There are several other Waldorf schools within a two hour drive, as well as the New England Waldorf Teachers Training Program at Antioch University in Keene, NH.
The Upper Valley is a vibrant community located near the Connecticut River and nestled between the Green Mountains of Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The quiet beauty of the natural environment offers a full range of outdoor activities. We are just two hours from Boston, four hours from Montreal and five hours from New York City.

Salary: 2025-2026 Base $49,328, plus applicable experience adjustments.
