Lead Security Engineer (Series A Fintech)We are a $20M Series A startupWe are seeking a Lead Security Engineer to serve as an autonomous unit within our engineering team. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will own the full spectrum of security concerns, ensuring our infrastructure and ML models remain resilient as we scale.The RoleSecurity Ownership: Develop, implement, and maintain security solutions across cloud infrastructure and application layers.AI/ML Security: Design security protocols specifically for our ML models and extensive Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) processes.Compliance & Governance: Take full ownership of maintaining SOC2 compliance and managing ongoing vulnerabilities.Offensive & Defensive Security: Lead incident response efforts and conduct regular penetration testing of our software.Security Culture: Act as a subject matter expert to foster security awareness and best practices across the broader engineering team.QualificationsExperience: 7+ years of dedicated security engineering experience.Cloud Expertise: Deep technical proficiency with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).Technical Depth: Strong background in Application Security and securing cloud-native environments.Tech Stack Familiarity: Experience or comfort working within a stack that includes Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Postgres, and BigQuery.
