DescriptionSr. Project EngineerAt Pilgrim’s, Safety IsACondition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.The Senior Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and operational excellence across multiple processing plant projects. This positionis responsible forleading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering initiatives that enhance plant performance, efficiency, and safety. Working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Plant Operations, Maintenance, and external contractors—the Sr. Project Engineer ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle, frominitialconcept and design through installation, commissioning, and final handoff.***This position will be located at one of these Pilgrim’s facilities in Marshville, NC, Nacogdoches, TX or Sumter, SC. This is NOT a remote position.Responsibilities:Creation of capital budgeted projects and expenditures for the poultry processing plantsServe as Project Lead on projects, developing timelines, coordinating support, and trackingprogress.Primary liaison between Contractors and plant personnelassistingin layouts, verification of existing and future utilities,assistingwith weekend supervision of Contractors. Plan and attend safety meetings surrounding projects including acting in an enforcement role as needed.Coordinateappropriateutilitiesfor work, involving relocation of existing utilities and installation of new utilities as needed.Maintain andimproveour as-built drawings, drawing retention, and version control. Includes facilities, equipment, utilities, and property.Perform other projects/assignments as needed.Other duties as assigned.WhatYou’llNeed:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or a related field isrequired;Experience:Three to five years ofpreviousexperiencerequired;Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office; above average AutoCAD skills.Strong communication, project management, analytical, and leadership skills.
