Assistant Shop Manager

While now recognized as a global fashion brand, MOSCOT remains, at hear, a neighborhood optical shop. We are currently looking for an Assistant Shop Manager (optical experience preferred) for our Lower East Side - Orchard Street MOSCOT Shop in NYC. The Assistant Shop Manager supports the selling function and is responsible for assisting in all areas of shop operations. This role is responsible for delivering the MOSCOT MX through positive and effective communication with customers and family members. The ASM provides the support required to keep the shop in top running order, from ordering inventory, following up on orders, and responding to customer concerns and complaints. The Assistant Shop Manager will lead by example and will ensure that the Shop team offers the best possible optical experience to our customers and patients by dispensing warmth, courtesy, and expertise. Responsibilities Operations Enforce compliance of all company policy and procedures. Responsible for Inventory Maintenance: including inventory movement, stock orders through Plainview warehouse for frames and collateral, merchandise receipts, and assigning appropriate storage case. Responsible for daily finance reporting. Maintain facility and address repairs immediately. Ensure display areas are clean and merchandised as per company directive. Responsible for the follow-up of all repairs, special orders, and completed orders to ensure that appropriate deadlines are met in accordance with customer expectations. Communicate any delays to patients and collaborate with Lab on a delivery date Respond to customer concerns and complaints. Human Resource Facilitate training of new associates in operational policies, product knowledge, and POS Ensures all departments (Sales, Eyecare, Customer Service) are working together to deliver the MOSCOT MX internally and externally. Confirm that associates are arriving on time and clocking in and out during scheduled shift. Motivate staff to provide best in class service and a memorable experience to all Shop visitors.
