Job Number: R0246960 5G PHY M&S Engineer The Opportunity: Design, install, configure, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure to meet the business needs. Monitor and troubleshoot problems. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of more junior employees. You Have: 2+ years of hands‑on experience in 5G NR/LTE PHY Layer development Experience using programming or technical computing tools such as Python, C, C++, or MATLAB Experience with GPUs for real‑time PHY processing, optimizing signal processing, and system performance Experience in debugging and performance tuning of PHY layer implementations, ensuring robust and optimized system performance Experience in 5G PHY testing and validation using industry‑leading tools Experience developing AI/ML algorithms for real time signal processing Knowledge of 3GPP specifications, including 38.211, 38.212, 38.213, and 38.214, ensuring compliance and effective implementation Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Nice If You Have: Knowledge of open source implementations, such as Aerial and OCUDU Knowledge of networking concepts and principles Knowledge of cloud concepts and principles Knowledge of wireless networks Knowledge of cellular communication networks, including 4G and 5G Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Microsoft Certified Administrator or RHCS Certification CCNA, CCNP, or 5G Certifications Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
